The Lawn care industry is flourishing with money. And that's exactly what you need!
I own a Lawn Care business myself. Lawn mowing does not require a certain amount of skill, all you need is the will to work hard, and to "butter up".
Starting a Lawn Care business isn't easy, the hardest part is getting customers. To get customers you need to follow these few tips:
-Always hand people business cards, no matter how you do it always, ALWAYS give someone a business card, this distributes your name, and if your doing a good job it will eventually get you customers.
-Hand out fliers, GIVE THEM TO PEOPLE, walk around your neighborhood, put them in doors, mailboxes, whatever, make sure to great the homeowner with a smile if they are around.
These are the 2 main things I worked on when starting my business, and by papering neighborhood after neighborhood I finally got customers, slowly but you have to remember that if you gather these people, they will be with you for the life of your business normally.
Something else to consider....
Get yourself a way to move around. If that means a rope to tie your mower to your bike, or getting a bike trailer, to even convincing your parents to drive you around, do it! It's necessary to be able to get around if you want to start rolling in the money. If you can't move around then you can't get around town, and your limited to your neighborhood. That's only 2-3 customers not the 15-20 you really want!
Make sure to get estimated back to people in a timely manner ( I recommend giving them out for free), as well as working with your customers around the clock to make them happy!
Good luck! Check out www.teenlawncare.com if you need some more help, or email me!
